Sunil Pandey alias Dr Narendra kumar Pandey (born 5 May 1966) is a famous Indian politician of Bihar, who was the Chairman of Agriculture and Industrial Development committee of Bihar, leader of JD(U) and a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly and then resigned JD(U) on 25/9/2015 before Bihar state assembly election 2015 after completing of successful 4 election.〔http://www.ndtv.com/bihar/bihar-assembly-elections-jailed-jd-u-lawmaker-sunil-pandey-quits-party-1223191〕
First time he went in the politics with Samta Party in Bihar legislative assembly election of 2000 from Piro, Bhojpur and lodged victory, Then in the Bihar Legislative Assembly election, February 2005 he contested from JD(U) from the same constituency and lodged victory again, There was a fractured verdict in February 2005 Assembly Election. Since no government could be formed in Bihar, fresh elections were held in October–November the same year. again in the Bihar Legislative Assembly election, October 2005 he lodged his win.then in the Bihar Legislative Assembly election, 2010 he contested and won from Tarari(Bhojpur), he is the only person who lodged his four conscutive win from tarari/piro.
He is also famous for controversial figure because of the image of his don turned politician as mainly cases lodged onto him at the time when RJD was in government, sunil pandey said this during several press meets, as so many cases lodged onto him but he has not been convicted to any one.〔http://myneta.info/bih2010/candidate.php?candidate_id=2016〕

Sunil Pandey was born in Nawadih,karakat,Rohtas Bihar he is elder in all of the 5 children of Kameshwar Pandey and Sita Kunwar . his father late kameshwar pandey was engineer and sunil pandey has a degree of doctorate, Sunil’s teachers and fellow students recall Dr pandey as a "bright student who always came first" first-class MA student and a Gold Medalist of history from SB College, Arrah, Sunil Pandey completed his Ph.D on "Mahavira’s preaching in present context" on November 27 from Veer Kunwar Singh University,Arrah, under the guidance of Ramji Rai, the head of history of the college. The six internal and external experts on Jainism who interviewed Pandey for an hour on November 25, which led him to the Ph.D.he is also a lifetime member of the All India Oriental Conference ,Indian Society of Gandhian Studies and Indian Society of Buddhist studies〔http://www.telegraphindia.com/1081217/jsp/frontpage/story_10263461.jsp〕
